A Cup Washer with Weld Nut is a fabricated fastening component consisting of a concave cup-shaped washer permanently attached to a nut by welding. It provides a captive threaded fixing point while also distributing load and protecting the mounting surface. The weld nut is fixed to the center of the cup washer using spot welding, projection welding, or other suitable welding methods. The cup shape allows a bolt or screw head to seat properly and provides a neat finished appearance. Commonly used in sheet metal assemblies where access to the rear side for holding a nut is difficult.
